… That most unusual group exercise of riding a stationary bike next to 20 other sweaty people while a Spandex-clad personal trainer barks orders over the booming sounds of club music inside a gym.
Well, I am not a fan of house music. Nor am I a personal trainer. But I do love wearing Spandex and have been teaching weekly indoor cycling/spinning group exercise classes for four years.
Club members and other instructors often ask me for copies of my workouts and music mixes. spinningmixes.wordpress.com is a little blog I started to provide this information.
When ever I make a new mix, I will post it at spinningmixes.wordpress.com. Browse the blog, download some new music, forward my workouts to your athletic-minded friends and co-workers, and please share your own favorite spinning routines and “power songs” by posting comments or emailing me at jasonatwood [at] gmail [dot] com.
Happy Spinning!

Hi,
Your spinning mixes are great. Question: what is a power 10? a power 20?
Thanks,
Anna
Hi I am a trainer for an advanced spinning class and I find your routines very helpful. I am constantly looking for music and did try to download some from your blog, but was unable…please help!
Hi Anna,
Please check out my recently updated blog at http://spinningmixes.wordpress.com. I added a page under “FAQs” that explains the specifics of each workout set, including what a Power 10 and Power 20 are.
Thanks for reading.
Hi Garima,
Unfortunately, you cannot directly download songs from my spinning blog — instead, I post the names and artist of songs I use in my classes with details of the workouts. The best place to get these songs is probably through iTunes, though some can be found for free at download.com. (Click on “Music” to access over 75,000 songs available for free download.) Hope this helps and thanks for reading!

Hi,
My name is Andrea and I’m working on the Spinning Nation event. I won’t bore you with the details, but it’s the first nationwide Spinning fundraising event ever and we have a very small staff putting it together. If you like the idea after you take a look at what we’re doing and wouldn’t mind mentioning us on your blog, it would help a lot. If not, I understand. Blogs are a very personal thing and I’d never ask if it weren’t all for good causes. Thanks, you can always reach me at andrea@sportsgrants.org. The website is http://www.spinningnation.org.
Best regards,
Andrea
